Walking on Water: Finding Joy, Peace, and Purpose in Life

Today, I want to remind you of the incredible power that you possess. You have the ability to walk on water, to do what may seem impossible. As I live my life unapologetically, using my gifts and talents to live a more fulfilling life and spread the love and joy of Jesus, I often encounter challenges that threaten to bring me down.

When I don't feel joy, peace, and start doubting myself, I can become trapped in depression. I walk around with a cloud of hopelessness, and at times, I even feel ready to give up. For years, I struggled to control my emotions and understand the messages that God and my own being were trying to convey to me. The message was simple: let go and let God.

Last week, I had a powerful realization about the things that often trigger these negative emotions in me. I found myself scrolling through Facebook and feeling envious of someone else's post. I wondered why God would bless them with that opportunity and not me. But then, God reminded me that He has a blessing for me that far exceeds what I see. He told me that if I wanted the temporary blessings that others have, He would give them to me, but if I waited for His eternal blessings, I would be truly fulfilled.

That day, I learned a valuable lesson about not comparing myself to others and focusing on Jesus instead. I also realized that when I don't start my day with Bible study and prayer, I tend to act in my flesh instead of the spirit of God. I become grumpy and judgmental, but when I put my focus back on Jesus, beautiful things happen, and my joy is restored.

The story of Simon-Peter walking on water reminds us that we too have the ability to do the impossible if we keep our focus on Jesus. Don't let your neighbors, friends, or social media distract you from your purpose. You may have a dream or a goal that others don't believe you can achieve, but with Jesus, you can and you will. When you can't walk through the storm, Jesus will reach out His hand and carry you.

It's time to break free from the lies that have hindered our talents. Some of us don't even realize that we have multiple talents, and God wants us to use them all while we're here on earth. You woke up this morning with a purpose, so don't waste it. If you're struggling to find joy, peace, and encouragement, I want to pray for you. Stop striving for temporary peace and embrace eternal joy.

I used to be an unhappy person, struggling with thoughts of suicide and feeling like a failure compared to others with jobs, degrees, and careers. But I don't believe that anymore. I now lead with my talents and allow them to outshine my disabilities. I may struggle with severe dyslexia and autism, but I am a published author, songwriter, and have helped over 100 people with their businesses.

Our emotions are like tides, and we never know how they will approach the shore or roll back. But when they reach the shore, we have a choice. We can decide what to hold onto from the experience and what to leave behind. The cleansing of our soul through these emotional tides is trying to navigate us towards our blessings, not the blessings of others.

If you feel like giving up, remember that pushing through today creates possibilities for a better tomorrow. Entrepreneurs, don't give up on your dreams. The fruit of your labor will come, but it may take years of hard work. Just like a child coming into the world, the pain you endure will be worth it. Just keep pushing and breathe.

In conclusion, I hope today's message has encouraged you to keep pushing forward and believe in your ability to do the impossible. Remember to stay focused on Jesus and not get distracted by the success of others or the negative emotions that may try to hold you back. Your talents are a gift from God and it's time to let them shine.
