Victory in the Midst of the Battle: My Journey Through the Court System

It's been an emotional journey, but I am overjoyed for what God has already done for me this month. As I prepare my discovery for the court, I am learning so much about how the system works and let me tell you, the system is rigged. The amount of work I have to put in for this discovery is overwhelming, and I know that I didn't have to do half of this when the feds took me to trial.

Did you know that in the discovery, besides handing over all your evidence to the defendant's attorney, you also have to present all the questions you're going to ask in court? If I had known that I could see everyone's questions and answers before my trial, I would have done much better in court. But, I have to say that I learned a lot when I took the feds to trial the first time, which gives me a little more confidence stepping into this fight representing myself with my father's case.

My objective is to have my father's remains returned to us, it's all we've been asking for the last fifteen years. It's unfortunate that it's taken this long or that it's this difficult. But I want to encourage you to keep fighting, even when you're struggling the most. You don't need people in your corner to win every fight or to jump every hurdle. Just believe that you can win, and you will make it over effortlessly. And when you do, rejoice and share with the world how incredible God is, because you know it was by His grace and mercy that pulled you through.

I also want to encourage you to stop walking into situations without asking the Holy Spirit to be present, not only around you but inside you. If you do decide to represent yourself in court, you have to ask God to be the judge, jury, and prosecutor, so that His will be done. He is the great I Am.

This fight for justice has become my purpose and will become a part of my testimony. This is the year of belief, and because I know how real God is, I shall not fear and I shall not quit. Even in my time of weariness, I know God is with me fighting both the battle and winning the wars set ahead of me. Victory is mine saith the Lord, and because He is my God, I will claim victory over my life in the name of Jesus.
