My Stubbornness Fuels My Drive Towards My Success.

As a 37-year-old, I've always been known for my stubbornness mixed with my own perspective on the world. I've always had strong opinions and views, especially when it comes to things like systemic racism, the government, and my family. Growing up, I was angry at a lot of people and things for various reasons.

However, I've come to realize that my stubbornness can either work for me or against me. I used to be angry at white people for not understanding systemic racism, at the government for covering up my father's murder, at my family for hiding our imperfections behind religion, and at my mother for yearning for a husband.

But I've learned that forgiving others is an action, not just words. I recently forgave my in-laws, and it was a powerful moment for me. It allowed me to release the spirit of anger that had been holding me back. I understand now that a lot of people are unaware of the spirits they carry, and those spirits can attach to other people and cause harm.

The biggest problem with society today is that we can't distinguish between mental health and spiritual warfare. I'm grateful that I can see the difference, and with the Holy Spirit living within me, I'm able to rebuff any negative spirits that try to attack me. I've learned that the devil will use anyone in your life to steal your joy, including your husband, kids, family, and in-laws.

At one point, I even cut my in-laws out of my life, but then God touched my heart and gave me understanding. I realized that my stubbornness should not be used to hold grudges, as it only blocks my blessings. Instead, I choose to use my stubbornness to push me towards my dreams and pray for those who may have hurt me instead of gossiping or being mad.

Love and forgiveness are actions, not just words. I choose to be stubborn in giving people unconditional love, and I pray that you can do the same. Remember that love is kind, gentle, and brings unexplainable joy. To anyone I may have hurt in the past, I forgive you and pray that you can forgive me as well. I am unapologetically walking in the love of God and leaving behind the love of the world.
